Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Last week KNEWYU visited the MODA Fashion Exhibition in Birmingham NEC to see what trends we have to look froward to in the Autumn and Winter seasons of 2017. The exhibition was held over 3 days, showcasing menswear, jewellery, accessories, womenswear and sportswear; and I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in any of the departments named pay a visit. There are many unique and quirky exhibitors who have designs that can’t be found in your ordinary high street stores, and as everything is presented 6 months before they are initially released. You could find yourself being a trendsetter, as on day 3 of the event some traders will sell their products at a very discounted price, and when the products go to retail some will almost triple in price, so definitely check out MODA. As a huge shoe fanatic of course I made a beeline for the footwear section and here are the designers that caught my eye.
Doc Martens, the popular brand best known for their line of quality boots, though that is not all they have to offer as I was pleasantly surprised to find out they have taken to widening their designs with the RIGAL – Mesh, Woven and Carpathian, what they call a “contemporary take on the classic 8-eye boot” aka Doc Martens Hi-Tops. However it’s the Red RIGAL Mesh that particularly caught my eye when being shown off on the catwalk; part mesh and part synthetic nubuck. They are unisex, though it wouldn’t have made much difference for me, I would own
these regardless and I plan to, they look so good! This line of RIGAL Mesh is available now and comes in 3 other colours, including navy, black, and grey and will cost you £100, we can all agree it pays to look good.
The new editions you can expect to see in the Autumn/Winter of 2017 are what I got to have a sneak peek at last week. The difference between the readily available RIGAL Mesh which come in 4 colours, is the colour of shoes are the same as the shoes sole. The new editions boast a two-tone vibrant coloured (yellow or green) and speckled white outsole with a navy or black shoe. They will go on sale for the same price and you can expect for more colours to follow, so keep an eye out.
Though if you’re not a huge fan of hi-tops, don’t worry there’s plenty of other styles to choose from coming later in the year, more than I am able to write about, so if you like what you’ve seen so far keep up-to-date with Dr Martens catalogue. A new design that stole our attention, were the glittery multicoloured Dr. Martens, coming in both the classic boots and shoes; you can expect them to cost around £110 and you will be able to get them sooner than Autumn, with the release date scheduled for July. Like, share and let us know what you think.
