Song of The Day By Weirddough

Toast

So, The Song of The Day feature is back! And this time it’s here to stay.

If you don’t remember, January 2015 was the turning point in my blog (which I now like to refer to as website – all will be explained within this post) as I knew that music was always going to be a special part of my life and my day and that it would be something fun for me to share with those that read my blog which was then called Street Meets Style.

Every morning as soon as I woke up, I would begin to write a review for a song that I felt was going to be “the song” for that day.

Music helps set the mood for the rest of the day, so having the “right” song playing to help start the day is important tome, and that’s where the idea came from.

After a good few months of writing and sharing daily songs as well as a long post at the end of the week called Artist of The Week (where I  spoke about an artist I had been listening to for the week and sharing which were my favourite songs) I decided to stop as I had stopped discovering new songs and was content with all the artists I was listening to. I still listen to all those artists a lot as they are my favourite, but back then I didn’t want to share the same artist over again. Now that I think about it, it’s pretty hard to pick a good quality artist for each day and choose a song that you really really like to share and talk about, so I’m going to be kind to myself this time around.

Knewyu is the rebrand of my blog, Street Meets Style and is now a website or online music and lifestyle journal. I still want to share good quality music with you all and it helps that almost everyday I have discovered a new artist that I like, but what also helps is that I have a new contributor called Cheyenne (@cheyennezhane) who was introduced earlier (You can read her interview here). She will also be sharing her favourite Song of The Days with you also as she has a different music taste to me. It’s also great because she gets to share the daily song sharing load which gives me time to listen to some more music.

As I said earlier, I will be kinder to myself, so if I’m listening to the same artist the next day and there’s a particular song that I can’t get enough of, then you guys can hear it too! 🙂

Now, onto the song.

If you have been a reader here for a year or two, then there is no hiding that Weirddough is one of my favourite producers. He creates the chillest/happiest music around which is refreshing as most of the instrumentals I have come across are all deep bass or has a hip hop edge. I’m not knocking those styles at all, but as you know, I am more into the whole Chill, summery kind of thing.

This particular song is one of my all time favourites of Weirddough’s. It reflects the beautiful sunny weather we’re enjoying here in England (for once) and my summery mood!

I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do!
